When I spoke with him, I shared my observations of the kitchen and particularly the one guy watching the game and he just did not care!

One guy was too busy watching the game on TV facing kitchen and other guys were working at snail pace. Funny, before saying anything to anyone I simply walked up and observed kitchen, to be fair.

He simply said we're busy and turned around and walked off. I asked for owners information and he wouldn’t provide it. I was approached by one lady who absolutely seemed annoyed that I was even questioning why it was taking so long and then another guy came over and presented himself as the manager but he was visibly annoyed as well. I proceeded to go speak with the person at the cash register and kindly asked for the manager. Many of you probably see where I'm going here, they're printing a lot of tickets, taking orders, but not a lot of progress coming out of the kitchen. BTW, my daughter arrived about 15 minutes behind us so we had to place her order when she got there and her ticket number was 61. Yes that only turning about 14 tickets in nearly an hour. Let's just say 50 minutes later, they were just on ticket 34-35. Well, we were number 41 so I knew it might be a few minutes. When we sat down we heard of the loudspeaker they called ticket number 21 or 22. We placed our order at the counter (as all patrons do) and received our ticket with the ticket number on it.ticket number 41. Now to be fair, it was parents weekend in Auburn so we expected lunch at any restaurant might take a little longer than usual. My family had absolutely the worst experience we've had in a restaurant in many years. All in all, great pizza especially for the south. The only issue is the location downtown makes it hard to find parking and the wait times can be frustrating. Very enjoyable mouth pleasure from both! Wouldn’t recommend ordering pizza from anywhere else till you have been to or ordered pizza from Little Italy. Little Italy has passed both the plain cheese and pepperoni test. I always judge a pizza place by their plain cheese pizza and or their pepperoni pizza. I believe single slices are even available like a true NYC style pizza place. The quality is good, the flavor is good and the environment is good. Little Italy brings the heat with their version of NYC pizza. The pizza in the south as a whole is lacking. This is the simple type of “New York” style pizza that is very common in mom and pop shops in and around the northeast.

Not a bad pizza place in an area surrounded by awful pizza and even worse chain pizza.

We aren’t sure if we will be returning to this restaurant if we find ourselves back in the area. We traveled four hours from home to go to a game and had high hopes of eating here before returning home. We are very disappointed in this visit to Jim N’ Nicks. After she dropped his sandwich off the second time it was still cold and the bottom part of the bun was so soggy he wouldn’t of been able to pick it up to eat it. She took his sandwich to the back and brought the sauce to us while the sandwich was “heated up”. We waited about five minutes until our server walked by and we asked for his sandwich to be heated back up and the for the bbq sauce we still hadn’t received. The meat and bun both felt like they hadn’t even been heated up at all. We started to eat when he discovered his sandwich was cold to the touch. We were asked by the lady that dropped off our food if we needed anything else and we just asked for bbq sauce. Today we went in and everything was fine until we received our food. My husband and I have been to this restaurant a few times and every visit has been exceptional.
